Let me inform you about the following FISITA Patronage event:

*AVEC 10 – 10^th International Symposium on Advanced Vehicle Control* /* August 22-26 2010 Loughborough, UK*.

The AVEC conference has a long and distinguished reputation as one of the foremost international conferences for Automotive Control. August 2010 will see the 10th staging of this event and the first time it has been held in the UK. Loughborough University has an attractive campus with all the conference accommodation, facilities and venues within walking distance of each other. See: www.lboro.ac.uk/avec10 for further details.

AVEC 2010 will retain the traditional and still vital core subject areas of handling, suspension and powertrain, but this year we place a special emphasis on those topics that will shape the future of the Automotive industry most in the medium to long term: alternative propulsion, energy efficiency and intelligent transportation systems. **Submission of Papers**

Prospective authors should submit an extended abstract in English, describing the problem definition, method and results expected or obtained. This should include figures and tables where appropriate and is limited to 3 A4 pages and 1500 words. The number of papers is limited, subject to peer review of the abstracts, so authors are reminded to provide sufficient detail in the abstract to establish the academic and/or industrial merit of the work.

Abstracts do not have to comply with a prescribed style, but must be submitted in Word or pdf format, and include a header with the following information :

* Paper title
* Presenting author, coauthor(s) and affiliations
* A list of 3 key phrases, in order of relevance, selected from the list on the right
